Performative investigation at Cors Bodeilio peat fen with makeshift weighlift of limestone and upcycled aluminium.

A series of drone images depict a performative investigation at Cors Bodeilio Nature Reserve, one of the peat fens of Anglesey. The body is pressed down into the peat by a makeshift weightlift of limestone from Moelfre, Anglesey and upcycled aluminium. The rocks have been extracted from the very same limestone bedrock that runs beneath the fens, that which creates a distinct calcareous, alkaline habitat.

The work was created as part of a larger research project into the materiality of peatlands, titled Sticky Sculptures supported by Arts Council Wales and Natural Resources Wales.
